This 4-hour workshop presents the design, operation, calibration, best practice, and achievable accuracy of uncrewed aerial LiDAR and Cameras. This workshop is intended for the UAV LiDAR/Camera user community, including mapping professionals, land surveyors, managers, engineers, and decision-makers to understand the underlying concepts of LiDAR/camera from the technical, operational, and business perspectives in the form of theory and practice using real data sets from around the world… The following will be covered.
1. Airborne LiDAR and Camera Systems – The Concepts
Covering the airframe, laser scanning, digital cameras, payload Integration, and software workflow
2. Mapping By Multi-Sensor-Systems – The Concepts
Covering georeferencing in LiDAR & Imagery, GNSS and Inertial concepts, GNSS/Inertial integration, how to interpret multiple streams of data (laser scans, camera images, GNA signals, inertial data) and Mapping Products including Elevation models, Ortho photos vs True Orthos, Point Cloud Colorization, and Accuracy Assessment.
3. Best Practices
Covering enabling technologies (RTK vs. PPK vs. DG vs. ISO, base stations,CORS, OPUS, CSRS, VRS, and RTK), calibration in LiDAR & photogrammetry (Time Synchronization, Boresight and Lever Arm Calibration), Mission planning and execution, and pre-mission, post-mission, pre-processing and post-processing QC
Access to this workshop is included with all conference level badges. Space is limited onsite. Additional purchase required for all Exhibit Hall Only pass holders. Registration Fee $99
