Ukrainian Pavilion Announces First Participants for Commercial UAV Expo 2024!

The global drone industry is gearing up for an exciting showcase at the Commercial UAV Expo 2024, set to take place from September 3-5 at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas. This 10th-anniversary event is the premier platform for showcasing commercial and civil unmanned aerial systems (UAS) technology in North America. Among the standout features of this year’s Expo is the Ukrainian Pavilion, an ambitious initiative demonstrating Ukraine’s leadership in the UAS robotics sector.

The Ukrainian Pavilion is proud to announce its first participants, showcasing Ukraine’s leading companies in drone technology and innovation. These pioneering companies will represent Ukraine’s robust capabilities in the UAS sector and highlight their groundbreaking advancements to a global audience. The Ukrainian drone technology market consists of both state-owned enterprises and commercial companies. An important feature is that the market has mainly developed due to private initiatives. Private companies have become the main driving force behind the growth of the Ukrainian drone manufacturing segment. Today, there are about 200 companies in Ukraine actively working on creating drone technologies and component bases. In total, there are about 700 various enterprises in the market engaged in developing and implementing technologies in this field, indicating a segmented, multi-profiled market with a cluster of associated players.

The Ukrainian Pavilion at the Commercial UAV Expo 2024 is set to be a standout feature, demonstrating Ukraine’s leadership in the UAS robotics sector. This initiative, led by Ukrainian entrepreneurs and supported by state and commercial entities, aims to represent and promote Ukrainian businesses on the global stage, starting with the influential US market.

These pioneering companies illustrate the potent potential of Ukraine’s drone technology market and its readiness to compete on the global stage. At the Ukrainian Pavilion, we aim to represent all possible players of the Ukrainian drone ecosystem for commercial use.

The Pavilion’s mission extends beyond showcasing products; it aims to drive the adoption of Ukrainian innovations and share practical experiences from Ukraine’s ongoing recovery and rebuilding efforts. Highlighting applications in construction, energy, infrastructure, and agriculture, the Pavilion underscores the significant impact of these technologies on economic recovery and development.

At Commercial UAV Expo, the Ukrainian Pavilion will serve as ambassadors of Technological Diplomacy, representing Ukraine’s technological ecosystem alongside the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco.

Ukraine has achieved the extraordinary by creating a fleet of millions of drones and robotics annually, despite facing extremely challenging conditions. This remarkable accomplishment underscores Ukraine’s unmatched production potential, scaling production chains in a way that no other country has been able to achieve. The Fleet of Millions initiative is more than a showcase of drone manufacturing; it is a testament to the country’s capability in developing a comprehensive ecosystem of robotic technologies, including anti-drone devices, robotics, components, chipsets, motors, and more—all made or designed in Ukraine.

The Fleet of Millions provides access to one of the world’s largest ecosystems for the development of robotic technologies. This ecosystem includes component manufacturers, finished device manufacturers, robotic platform producers, R&D centers, system institutions and integrators, distributors and network players, and government support. The state acts as a driver of development, providing necessary support and regulation.

The Fleet of Millions initiative is an integrated effort that includes associations, manufacturer unions, and clusters. These groups participate in activities to promote Ukrainian innovation and expand the market reach of Ukrainian technologies. The initiative aims to popularize “Made in Ukraine” and “Designed in Ukraine” as global trends. Its mission and goals include promoting the Ukrainian robotics and manufacturing base, scaling production experience to open facilities in other countries and continents, and driving innovation by encouraging the integration of Ukrainian designs and products in global markets.

Activities at the Ukrainian Pavilion will include the Official Opening Ceremony, a Roundtable Discussion on Agricultural Drones organized by John Deere and DroneUA (date and time TBD), and a Panel Discussion “Fleet of Millions: Ukraine’s Secrets to Mass Drone Production” in the Exhibit Hall Theater on Thursday, September 5, from 11:00 to 11:45.
