Cody Michaux

Cody Michaux is a dynamic professional specializing in drone applications within the utility industry. As a recent graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a degree in Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Cody currently serves as the Innovation Lead for Southern Companys’ UAS team. In this role, Cody leverages his robotics and manned aviation background to pioneer the use of drones to enhance safety, reduce costs, improve grid resiliency and reliability. During his time with Southern Company, Cody has also played a critical role in responding to multiple major storm events, using cutting-edge drone technology to support restoration efforts. Passionate about the technology, his innovative approach and fresh perspectives are already making a significant impact across Southern Company.
