Matt Rogers is currently the Supervisor of Electric Transmission Lines Operations at Dominion Energy. His current responsibilities include asset management, aerial inspections utilizing helicopters and drones, managing 3rd party vendors, electric barehand fleet program, transmission lines compliance program, and new and emerging technologies. Matt has a vested interest in pushing the limits of large data collection, asset management, and streamlining how utilities process information.
Matt joined Dominion in 2015 as a System Protection Technician and was part of several large transmission projects across the territory. Before joining Dominion Energy, Matt worked as a Radio Tower Supervisor for the Virginia State Police and an Electronics Technician with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He also served in the Army as an Avionics Technician working on UH-60 Blackhawks and CH-47 Chinooks. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management from Arizona State University and an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Electricity from Brightpoint Community College.
